Hey readers, welcome back! So this is my second to last blog post for “Fishing Tips For Beginners” blog page. I will be closing up my blog tomorrow with one last tip by showing you guys how to set up a closed face fishing rod. This post today is going to be a summary of my time using WordPress, the things I have taken from doing this assignment and a few statistics.
Overview
While using WordPress I found, for me personally, an ineffective tool was the widgets. I don’t believe adding the twitter widget really did much and I didn’t see the point in putting it on my page. I do believe an effective tool was promoting my site via twitter/social media though. I believe that is where I most likely received all or majority of my hits. If I could improve the WordPress site, I would add a few more options in the color setting options for the word and background color.
By doing this blog I have simply increased my knowledge about tools and simple functions of a blog site tremendously. This information could help in the future by allowing me to set up a page or blog site for a company if needed. Having the basic skill of knowing my way around a blog post website is a resume item and having that down as a skill could help increase my future employment offers.
Statistics
My most popular week was two with 18 views. My most popular post was my very first post which was my introduction with nine views. I believe that was the most viewed because it probably caught peoples attention on twitter and had them wondering what a WordPress blog was all about and drew them in. I think something that surprised me was the amount of views on week two I received. It makes me happy because those were my favorite blogs to post.
End of summary
This was a wrap up of my experience with this site, the things I learned and a few statistics. Also I realized I haven’t posted a picture of me actually fishing, so I will leave you guys with this picture. I might post this on Instagram as well, if you want to follow me, still debating on that. Until next time!
